  You all must be knowing the story of the tortoise and the 2 cranes, let me connect it to today’s scenario. Once there lived a tortoise in a lake in a dense jungle. He had 2 friends who were cranes. The tortoise was a well-informed guy and he liked to disperse the information with his friends. One day there was a drought in the forest. All the animals started to move to the nearby forest where there was a river and a lake. The tortoise thought that before he reaches the lake of the other forest he would die of thirst as he was slow. He told his problem to his friends. The two cranes got a stick and told him to hold the center of the stick with his mouth while they will hold the two ends of the stick with their beaks. When they were up in the air the tortoise saw a street and wanted to tell his friends which way the street goes. As soon as he opened his mouth he fell down and died. POWER OF 1

  On the day of Makar Sankranti, we decided to go up the Shaman hills to fly kites. Dad and Rudranksh uncle went to buy the kites while Me, Mamma, my sister, my freind and Pramila aunty were getting ready and making arrangements for the small trip. Later when we reached near the entry to the hills, the security told us that we are not allowed to fly the kites.   When we asked for the reason he said “Hamare upper waale ka order hai,Sir! hume maalum nahi kyu.” I was wondering what the reason could be. “There could me many reasons” my father told me. “Like the birds may get stuck in the thread of the kite and die’. People go there and leave back the kite and other materials making the hill dirty” Our parents were ready to leave,while we kids tried persuading the caretaker to allow us inside and started giving him some false information like it was one of ours birthday etc. etc While we were determined to go inside, he was adamant to not allow us inside. THE SON OF VYASA

  You all know the story about how Bhishma took a vow that he will never become the king so that Satyavati’s father would allow Bhishma’s father, Shantanu, to marry her. In some years Satyavati and Shantanu had two sons Chitrangada and Vichitravirya. Chitrangada was a great warrior but died in a long 3 year war with the Gandharvas. Vichitravirya who was crowned was very young. After some years he died because of tuberculosis. His both wives Ambika and Ambalika did not have any heir for the throne. Sage Vyasa who had finished a very long time in meditation was invited to Bhishma’s court. When he arrived in the court Bhishma asked for help from Vyasa that both the queens would get a baby boy.
